We all want to live a healthy lifestyle. Well, most people who care about themselves do want to live a healthy life. We will discuss the vegans’ good and the bad and its growing trend. Should you say yes to vegan or no to vegan? We will talk about what you can do to benefit the most from and stay healthy for a long time.

A Typical Vegan Dish Above

The good of going vegan

Vegans follow a very strict diet. They do not consume any animal products or animal-based foods. They may benefit from losing weight if they eat a controlled amount. When I say control amount, the portions must be a certain amount. Going vegan can improve your overall cardiovascular health by reducing blood pressure, lowering cholesterol, reducing the risk for stroke, reducing the risk of developing diabetes, improving your ability to manage type 2 diabetes, reducing the cause for constipation or other bowel abnormalities, and helping to prevent cancer.

The bad of going vegan

Following a vegan diet can carry some risks. Going vegan for a long time can cause a deficiency for B12 and for Omega 3 fatty acids which can lead to a wide variation of inflammation that is associated with chronic diseases.

Eating too much vegan food can land you right back to looking out of shape. Going vegan is not restricted to sugar. Actually, it has been reported that vegans consume more sugar than they should. They would sometimes crave sugar.

Saying yes to the vegan way

After seeing the good part of going vegan above, you might be encouraged to say yes to the vegan way. After all, there are many benefits to gain with the vegan way, minus the two deficiencies of B12 and Omega-3 fatty acids. People who are willing to change their diet will look at this with confidence. They would say yes to the vegan way after trying it out for a week.

Saying no to the vegan way

For those who say no to the vegan way, I understand. I am not for it either. Given the fact that most vegans choose to be so, due to their compassion for animals. I would argue that vegans do the same to plants. Plants are living things. What they choose to consume, does not justify overall health. You can still get sick like a person who eats meat. Eating sugar is as bad as eating meat.

We are omnivores by nature first. That’s right. It’s the reason why we don’t have the stomach to eat grass as cows do. If that wasn’t so, why do we need B12 and Omega-3 fatty acids? You sure can’t get them from plants.

The best way to get the most out of your daily intake of the foods that you eat is by doing a combination in moderation. If you do not balance your food intake, you will suffer from health problems. If you eat too much meat, especially red meats, then vegetables, you will increase the chance for you to get colorectal cancer and the increase chance for heart disease.

What’s worse, is that if you eat too much-processed meats like hot dogs, sausages, ham, etc. Processed meats can cause inflammation and other chronic health problems.

Having a well-balanced diet

A well-balanced diet can be achieved if you follow these tips. Bread, cereals, and pasta should be about 30% of your daily intake. All vegetables should be about 25% of your daily intake. Fruits should be about 20% of your daily intake.

Meats, fish, milk, and eggs should be about 15% of your daily intake. Any fats, oil, sugar, or sweets should be about 10% of your daily intake. However, this can change if you are on a Keto diet program where fats are more than 70% of your daily diet. I’ve done an article on this. If you would like to learn more about it, you can click this direct link @ https://healthy-and-wealthy-lifestyles.com/is-keto-dieting-healthy/

If you are not balancing your daily intakes in moderation, you will not benefit from them. It is the reason why most people experience health problems throughout their lives. Most people rather stuff themselves with their favorite foods, which can lead to overeating and not having a balanced diet.

From what I’ve noticed, people who went with the vegan way will most likely quit within a few weeks or months. It’s the rush of trying and feeling good after trying something new that motivates them temporarily.

A balanced diet with the percentages listed above is for the average person to have a decent weight according to his or her height. What I hate is that these balanced diets are not understood or projected to athletes to people who work out on a daily basis.

My experience with different dieting programs

I am not a health professional by any means. I do have experience with over 20 years of trying different dieting programs. The truth is not all dieting programs work for everyone. If they did work, there wouldn’t be so many different ones. You have to try to build yourself around such a program.

One of my methods is sticking to the same diet for a while, then switching to something new. But not totally or completely new. An example for sticking to the same diet would be: I would eat my heavy protein and a decent amount of carbohydrates early in the morning. I would later work out and burn all those with weight lifting.

It is one of the best methods to burn more calories and fat while building muscle mass including strength. After working out, I would eat higher amounts of healthy fats, some protein, and way fewer carbs. Dinner would be lighter than the combinations.

Conclusion

What I just did there is give you an example of how I go about my daily intake. This may not be for everyone, but I find a way to gain lean muscle mass and stay in shape.

However, or whichever programs you try, you must first decide about your daily life status. If you don’t exercise, then a balanced diet should be followed as listed above, providing that you eat from a healthy source like organic-based foods and eliminate all processed-based foods. Eating a healthy balanced diet in moderation will help you to live a healthy life for years to come. Exercising while on a healthy diet will more than greatly improve your overall health.

If you exercise daily, then you can ignore the balanced diet and eat a higher amount of healthy protein, healthy fats, healthy carbs, and a limited amount of healthy calories. Go for organic-based or non-GMO if you can. Live a happy and healthy life.  I would like to see your take on this. Are you in favor of vegan or not? Why or why not?

Cheers to great health,
