I’m writing this to inform you about other alternative means when it comes to limiting side effects on your health. My claims are based on my experiences and ongoing research. You might find it useful based on your needs. I am always looking for ways to improve my health naturally. This all started I was injured in the military as a combat soldier. After leaving the military injured and disabled, I was put on many different prescription drugs to help and alleviate my pain and other conditions affecting my daily life. The prescriptions I was on were just masking my pain and other health problems. I was not happy at all, due to the side effects from these prescription drugs. I had to do something about it. I had to re-educate myself on better ways to help me with my health conditions. I’ve researched many methods and I’ve found a handful. A few of the ways are natural herbs, vitamins, minerals, meditation, and exercise, and their benefits as I began experimenting with them.
For now, I am only going to discuss natural herbs, vitamins, and minerals. I’ll save the meditation and exercise for another discussion.
My experience with my first herb
As a pain sufferer for many years, relying on prescription drugs and having other side effects were not what I wanted. I researched many natural herbs and found one that stood out to me. I found a safe alternative for my pain. The herb extract of turmeric was my first choice that began my journey of natural health. In 2011, I heard of turmeric and it’s anti-inflammatory benefits. It was becoming a widely known herb. I’ve scoured the internet looking for the best bang for my money, due to it being expensive at the time. I also didn’t want to buy it with low efficacy. I was looking for Turmeric with 95% curcuminoids and BioPerine added to maximize its absorption. Research has shown that Bioperine(black pepper extract) can enhanced the Turmeric extract by up to 2000%. After a few days on my first experience with turmeric, it has reduced my pain from a scale of 98% to 60%. My inflammation went down drastically. I was witnessing the benefit of seeing my pain being reduced without any side effects just from a natural herb. I was happy with it from then on.

Researching more natural herbs
When I feel the benefits of Turmeric on a personal level, I began to research other herbs. I want to add more natural herbs to my new-found herb to get the best results possible for my other conditions. I’ve found many herbs that I can take to help me with my other conditions. I also bought many books on them. Having investing my time and spending money on researching natural herbs information and their uses, I have compiled a list of various natural herbs. I am always on a look out for herbs with none to almost no allergic reactions. It’ll be a lie to tell you that everyone can use the same herb as the ones I used to get the same benefits. Everyone is different and their conditions might not be suitable for the herbs I take. I only tell you the herbs I have experienced on a trial basis or that have clinically studied to show their efficacies. When you decide to try herbs to help you with your health problems make sure you get organic ones or non-gmo ones if you can.
Also, you want to get the herbs from companies that don’t cut corners to make them. One giveaway on cheap companies, are the unnecessary additives or fillers they used to make quick sales with their supplements which are not powerful enough for the health related issues and are a waste of your hard earn money. Be aware of that and you will reap the actual benefits of the intended purpose of the herbs. Please stay away from hypes and exaggeration. Even though, the herbs do work, they are diluted to the minimum level. I was a victim of such misleading ads and I’m sharing this with you, so that you can avoid costly mistakes.
Trying out various natural herbs
I have a list of herbs, vitamins, and minerals that I am currently using. Quick note: Herbs, vitamins, and minerals work synergistically to give you the best results. The list of herbs I used and are using are: Alpha Lipoic Acid, Ashwagandha, Astragalus root extract, Lutein&Bilberry; combo, CoQ10, Cordyceps, Bioperine, Ginkgo Biloba extract, Bacopa extract, Eye bright, Burdock root, Beta Glucan(1/3,1/6), GABA, EFA Flaxseed oil, L-Dopa Mucuna, Hawthorn Berry, Lemon grass extract, Rosemary extract, Kaempfereia Parviflora, Milk Thistle with dandelion and yellow dock extract, Muira Puama extract, Melatonin, Beta-sitosterol, Astazanthin&Zeaxanthin; combo, Horny goat weed extract, Vinpocetine, Olive leaf extract, organic wheat grass, Pine Bark extract, Pine Pollen, Pygeum Africanum extract, Resveratrol, Safed Musli extract, Stinging Nettle extract, Sunflower Lecithin, Schisandra, and TMG. Vitamins play an important role to the body. When I buy my multi-vitamins, I looked for organic plants, vegetables, and fruit sources. Vitamins that are made in the lab are strip of their wholesomeness that make them less effective. This is not helpful in getting what you need. In addition to organic multi-vitamins, You need minerals to help the herbs and vitamin to do their work. I’ve added plant based non-gmo or organic based calcium, Zinc, Boron, Magnesium, organic vitamin D3, organic Vitamin K2, organic Vitamin E, Organic MSM powder. I also use protein shakes, and different amino acids like Acetyl L-carnitine, L-Glutatione, L-Arginine, N-Acetyl, L-Cysteine, L-Reuteri Plus, Free form L-Lysine, L-Citruline Malate, and Glycine. Please don’t forget your fish oil. I know what you’re thinking: That’s too much! LOL!
Experiencing the benefits of natural herbs, vitamins, minerals
Most herbs, vitamins, and minerals I’ve listed above have benefited me well. I usually break them down into their appropriate groups for their intended purpose. To explain this further, I would take herbs for the brain in groups, herbs for the liver, herbs for the heart, herbs for overall health issues, including the amino acids. My overall health on testing the listed herbs above, including the vitamins, minerals and amino acids mentioned, have given me better health benefits to this day. These additions of herbs, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, were added and subtracted over many years to reach my satisfied goal. If I find a new herb than the one I use, I would give it a try to see the end result. If I experienced better results, I’ll add it to my category of herbs or I’ll simply drop the previous one for the new one with better results.
My thoughts on natural herbs and their benefits
First let me state my disclaimer: I am not a doctor in any shape or form. I do not recommend any herbs, vitamins, or minerals. I am simply expressing what I have experienced with. If you are thinking about trying any of the herbs, vitamins, minerals, or amino acids which I have listed above, please consult with your doctor.
Herbs have given me a better outlook on life. I have experienced them with failures(not working) and good results. What works for me may not work for you. You have to ask yourself the proper question. That question should be: What do I need this for? I had issues and I’ve use them accordingly to my health problems. Have I benefited? That would be a big YES! I feel much alive. Each one of us can see a potential benefit to get the help we need without prescription drugs and their nasty side effects. It’s up to you to bring your needs to your doctor to help you. Finding the right alternative way is the key to a better health. You have the power to do so.
You can choose any herb you need for a specific health issue and bring it to the attention of your doctor. Sometimes a doctor can be hard-headed about you getting off the prescription medication, due to the fact that he/she only specialized what he/she knows about prescription medicines. He/she may not know of any benefits of herbal remedy. One problem with this is that you can’t combine any prescription drugs with herbs. This can cause more problems or even death. You either get off the prescription drugs after talking with your doctor and then use the herbs you mentioned to him/her if he/she agreed to do so. Again, you have the power to change your life. Given my experience with herbs, vitamins, minerals, and their benefits, I can boldly say that I am happier today than I was many years back. I am always on the search for new and better herbs with almost no allergic reaction. So far I haven’t experienced any side effects, but satisfied results. Please take care of yourself as you seek proper health. I wish everyone the best for a healthy and happy life.
Best of health,
